The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF), the global authority governing the vLEI ecosystem, has launched a worldwide challenge with the goal of reshape how organizations establish trust in the digital economy.

The GLEIF vLEI Hackathon 2025 invites developers, entrepreneurs, and innovators to leverage the power of verifiable Legal Entity Identifier (vLEI) technology to solve real-world problems across industries.

Winning teams will present their innovations at exclusive international venues throughout 2025:

  • New York City (November 3) – Digital Asset Ecosystems at SmartCon, hosted by Swift and Chainlink
  • Hong Kong (November 7) – Trade and Supply Chain focus during Hong Kong Fintech Week
  • Frankfurt (December 2) – Industry 4.0 solutions at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management

Technical Foundation

The hackathon leverages GLEIF’s advanced technical infrastructure, including:

  • KERI protocol suite
  • Authentic Chained Data Containers (ACDC)
  • Comprehensive testnet environment

Participants can collaborate with Qualified vLEI Issuers (QVIs), including Global vLEI, to develop and deploy their solutions within the trusted vLEI ecosystem.
